Trash Service
Tahoe Truckee Sierra Disposal (TTSD) provides unincorporated eastern Nevada County, including PlaVada Woodlands, with trash and recycling services. Services are contracted by Nevada County and paid for through a parcel tax assessed on a parcel owner's property tax bill.
The County's Tahoe Truckee Sierra Disposal contract can be found on the County Solid Waste department's website here.
Trash is picked up 1x/week on Mondays, with three additional pick-ups per quarter as scheduled by the HOA (generally around holidays). The community's dumpster allotment is based on 32-gal. of trash per household per week; please be mindful of this.
Regular garbage and recycling can be included in the bins, which are sorted at TTSD’s Eastern Regional Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) to take out recyclable materials. For more information visit One Big Bin website (while the website is for Placer County, the overall process is applicable to eastern Nevada County as well).
